Alfonso Calvo has a Master in Jazz from ESMUC, a Bachelor of Jazz-Double Bass with honors from Cosmac and a Degree in Music Education from USCMusical Excellence Award from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Xunta de Galicia.

He has recorded and shared the stage with musicians such as Marcos Pin, Michel González, Naíma Acuña, Iago Vázquez, Pablo Castaño, Marcos Teira, Xosé Miguélez, Nani García and Antonio Bravo. Currently he is part of the Marcos Teira quintet presenting the album Nós (Martín Códax award 2019), Marcel Pascual Quartet, Valentín Caamano Quartet, Zumaque and his septet project with which he has participated in jazz festivals throughout the community.

He began his Jazz studies in 2001 at the Permanent Jazz Seminar in Pontevedra. Graduated in Jazz from the ESMAE (Porto, Portugal) in 2010, he also holds a Master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Holland).
He has about forty record references edited between collaborations for other artists and his own projects. He currently leads the jazz-rock band JUZZ, active since 2018, the date of the release of his first self-titled album. He also collaborates with other projects of a very diverse nature, among which Fuzzo, Loiros, Steel Sheep and The Manueles stand out.
Throughout his career he has played and recorded with internationally renowned musicians such as Walter Smith III, Jonathan Blake, Marcus Gilmore, Ambrose Akinmusire, Myron Walden, Abe Rábade, Paco Charlín, Román Filú, Perico Sambeat, John Clayton or Darren Barrett, among many others
In addition, it has various recognitions, such as the SGAE Author Concerto Award with S.O.S. Trío (2005), the 1st Group Prize of the Jazz Schools of Portugal (Lisbon, 2008), the 2nd Prize of the International Jazz Group Competition at the XXXII Getxo Jazz Festival (2010) with the Javier “GDjazz” Pereiro Quartet, the Best Soloist Award at the Keep an Eye International Jazz Awards 2015 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and two Martín Códax da Música Awards in 2014 and 2016 with Mónica de Nut and the rock band Foxy Freire respectively.

Es licenciado en Jazz-Batería por el COSMAC. Su proyecto Buxeiro obtuvo el premio SGAE Galicia Creativa 2015 en la sección de Jazz.

A lo largo de los años, desarrolló una faceta de baterista todoterreno que le permitió participar en numerosos proyectos, con los que obtuvo 9 premios Martín Códax.

Ha grabado 16 discos: de jazz, fusión, soul, blues, folk y pop. Uno de estos, “Magnético-Zen” de Xoán Curiel, recibió un premio MIN en 2013.

Ha compartido escenario con músicos como Jorge Pardo, Abe Rábade, Pablo Castaño, y Antonio Bravo.
Actualmente explora géneros que van desde el Neo Soul al Jazz Ambiental, pasando por la Improvisación Libre o el Pop.

Singer and songwriter from Caldas de Reis (Galicia). In 1997 she received her first singing classes with Ramón Bermejo at Estudio Escola de Música de Santiago de Compostela. In addition, she studies with Manuel Gutiérrez, Suso Atanes, L.A.R. Legido and Abe Rábade.

In 2006 she recorded Lost (Errabal Jazz), her first album, together with Manuel Gutiérrez; in 2007 she recorded Pascala (Free Code Jazz Records), also with Manuel Gutiérrez; and in 2013 she recorded Noise (Record Delights) with Tereland.

She has also collaborated with different groups such as GEM Trío, Marcelo Escrich Silent Trío, The Good Time Rollers, Gradus Jazz, Jorge Garrido Trío, Three One, Miño Project by Baldo Martínez, with the Galician Jazz Orchestra at the Vigo Jazz Festival Imaxina Sons, with the Pyrenees Jazz Orchestra or with the Iruña Jazz Orchestra, among others.

Graduated in the saxophone specialty from the Julián Orbón Conservatory of Avilés (Asturias) and graduated from the A Coruña Conservatory of Music in the specialty of Jazz improvisation. Gueorgui Organesian has been part of different groups and bands such as Soulman de Avilés or the Dixie Jazz Band patrol from the same city. He has collaborated on albums by artists such as Susana Seivane or Siboney and has been a professor at the Fundación Música Moderna de Avilés.

WILLIAM DÍAZ

He has the Professional Degree of Classic Trombone from the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory of Cuba and the Higher Title in Jazz Trombone from the Superior Conservatory of Music of A Coruña. He completed his training by attending multiple improvisation master classes in jazz music.

He has been a trombonist, percussionist and chorus girl in the Dan Den Orchestra of Cuba and the Pablo FG of Cuba.

He is a trombonist in various Galician orchestras and groups such as Son de Camagüey, Timbabana, Sergio Delgado & Cuban Brass, etc. He has also collaborated on CDs and DVDs of different orchestras and bands.

Graduated Cum Laude in Jazz Composition and Piano Performance from Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), he has directed an acoustic jazz trio since 1996, formed by Pablo Martín Caminero on double bass and Bruno Pedroso on drums.

He is the author of more than 200 compositions, composer, director and is part of the teaching staff of the Esmae (Porto, Portugal).

It has a long list of awards, including the Martín Códax in the Jazz and Improvised Music Category and the Piano Performance Award from the Berklee College of Music
