BORJA QUIZA

Voice Professor

Baritone awarded the Opera Actual award for the best young lyric singer and the prize for the best singer of Zarzuela of the prestigious lyric awards Teatro Campoamor de Oviedo.

He played the role of Don Giovanni in the opera Io Don Giovanni by Carlos Saura. He has performed in the main Spanish theaters: Teatro Real, Theaters del Canal and Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Liceu y Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de les Arts de
Valencia, La Fenice di Venezia, Carlo Felice di Genova, Ander Wien of Vienna, Comunale di Bologna, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Reate Festival di Rieti, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia di Roma, Auditorium di Milano, Luciano Pavarotti di Modena, etc.

LORENA VALERO

Voice Associate Professor

Lorena Valero studied in Vienna with the mezzo-soprano Kammersängenrin Margarita Lilova, after obtaining the professional singing title at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceo de Barcelona. In her artistic training, the teachers of Ghena Dimitrova, Jerzy Artisz and Roberto Scandiuzzi stand out.

During her professional career, she has played the role of Santuzza de Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni, in the Opéra -Théâtre Metz Métropole in France; the role of Elena de Mefistofele, of A. Boito, in the Théâtre du Passage Neuchâtel and in the Théâtre Equilibre de Friborg in Switzerland, among many others.

HELEN CHEN LEE

Guest Voice Professor

Her naturally pleasant voice has earned her many academic and international awards.

Carnegie Recital Hall and a subsequent series of opera activities in association with the Metropolitan Opera Studio in New York and the Geneva Opera Center in Switzerland garnered reviews as good as “A virtually perfect, clear, and focused voice with a beautiful bell timbre” (MUSICAL AMERICA) and “An attractive, energetic voice with good dynamic control” (THE NEW YORK TIMES).

She is a professor at The School of Music Voice Faculty at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada.

SEBASTIÀ PERIS

Guest Voice Professor

Sebastia Peris started at eight years old as a percussionist and later studied Voice with Patricia Llorens at the Joaquín Rodrigo Higher Conservatory of Music in Valencia.

He won the First Singing Prize in the National Singing Contest of “Juventudes Musicales de España “.

He has participated as a Spanish representative in the “European Festival of Soloists”, as well as in the “Zarzuela Season of Caracas”.
