Traditional Music Professor
Higher graduate in the specialties of traditional and popular music instruments and ethnomusicoloxy from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo, and Master’s degree in musical heritage from the International University of Andalusia. She has been part of groups such as Projecto de Foles, Matamá Ensemble or Paínho do Mal Tempo, being awarded in different traditional and folk music contests.
He studied the Superior Degree of Traditional and Popular Music Instruments of Galicia between the Superior Center of Music of Galicia and the Superior Conservatory of Music of Vigo where he also studied the Superior Degree of Ethnomusicology.
He attends bagpipe classrooms with teachers Carlos Núñez, Anxo Lorenzo, David Bellas, Ernesto Campos and Patrick Molard, and percussion with Carlos Castro and Kinhos Saborido, among others.
At the same time, he studied hurdy gurdy, singing, guitar, clarinet and piano, as well as composition, musical production and luther of Galician bagpipes.
He has composed more than 400 works for bagpipes in different formats and styles.
He currently develops his career as a teacher, composer and performer.
JOSÉ MANUEL LÓPEZ, “JOSELE”
He began his musical career at the age of twelve and continued in the professional music conservatories of Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Mayeusis de Vigo and Pontevedra, in the Conservatory of Traditional Music of the School of Arts and Crafts of Vigo, in the Folque Conservatory of Lalín and at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo, specializing in bagpipes, clarinet, saxophone and recorder. He was awarded in numerous traditional and folk music competitions, such as the “Manuel Villanueva” Memorial or the “Manuel Dopazo” Memorial, among others.
